Japan has suspended its second biomass power tender under the country's feed-in-tarif (FiT) scheme because of bidding information leaks on its web-based tender system. The green investment promotion organisation GIO, which manages renewable power tenders under the ministry of economy, trade and industry (Meti), shut down the tender system on 28 November when it found a bidder can see what others bid on the website.
