Rafael Ramirez was Venezuelan oil minister in 2002-14 and chief executive of state-owned PdV in 2004-14. He spoke from exile in Europe with Argus' Patricia Garip. What has gone wrong at PdV? I left [President Nicolas] Maduro a company valued at $284bn. Production was 3mn b/d and we had refning capacity of 1.2mn b/d. We sold 700,000 b/d of products in the domestic market and exported 400,000 b/d. The frm had an-nual revenue of $120bn and contributed $40bn to the treasury. There have been no fnancial numbers published since 2015. Venezuela now has little production, no fuel. It has collapsed.
