Wake up and smell the coffee before it becomes prey to the global warming monster. This sounds like one of those cries of calamity from the environmental brigade. But without these banner headlines, weather science won't get the urgent attention it deserves.One of the much-repeated complaints against climate researchers is that their science is apparently 'alarmist' and mostly speculative. This is a sad reflection on the efforts of generations of researchers who have made quite a progress using sophisticated mathematical and experimental tools to unravel the complex phenomenon called weather. Their efforts have few takers among the public.
