Application of electroanalytical techniques for the determination of trace metals in airborne particulate matter

摘要

Simple, rapid and accurate voltammetric methods, viz., DCP, DPP, DPASV, have been proposed for the determination of metals at trace levels in airborne particulate matter using 0.1 M (NH_4)_2 tartrate and 0.05 M EDTA disodium salt as supporting electrolyte with 0.001% gelatin as maximum suppressor. The results show the presence of Pb~(2+), Zn~(2+), Cu~(2+) and Bi~(2+) in airborne particulate matter. The quantitative analysis of trace metals has been carried out by the method of standard addition. the results obtained by the proposed methods are compared with those obtained using atomic absorption spectrometric method.
