The viscosity, surface tension and droplet size spectra of sprays containing three types of commercial formulation of insecticides and fungicide, emulsifiable concentrate (EC), suspension concentrate (SC) and water dispersible granule (WG), were evaluated, using thirty commercial products. Oil-based adjuvants were added to the solutions containing the WG and SC formulations, because it is a current practice in Brazil to add this products into tank mixtures. The concentration of sprays was based on applying 50 L ha"1 using a XR 8003VS flat fan nozzle, operated at 200 kPa pressure. There were statistical differences between the classes of pesticides for most of the evaluated parameters. The spray solutions composed of SC and WG formulations in mixturewith oil-based adjuvants resulted in means with small differences compared to the EC formulations for all the evaluated parameters. These results should be considered for planning spray applications of solutions containing oil-based adjuvants.
