Citing a need for a "return to security that our economy needs to thrive," a group of six former Commerce secretaries this week endorsed Joe Biden for president. "Joe Biden is also a man of deep integrity and decency that will work with people of all political stripes to better manage this horrific pandemic and help bridge the deep divisions that are tearing our nation apart," they wrote in a letter given to CNBC. The signatories include Penny Pritzker and Gary Locke, who served under President Barack Obama; Carlos Gutierrez, who served under George W. Bush; and Bill Daley, Norm Mineta and Mickey Kantor, who served under Bill Clinton.
