Structural and Electrical Properties of Rare Earth Modified Tungsten Bronze Niobates

摘要

The polycrystalline sample Li_2Pb_2Sm_2W_2Ti_4Nb_4O_(30) is a rare earth modified tungsten bronze (TB) niobates have been prepared by high temperature solid state reaction technique. Structural and micro structural study from XRD and SEM analysis confirms material is single phase compound. From impedance study it is observed that material is non-Debye type and negative temperature coefficient of resistance (NTCR) in nature. Hopping types of charge carrier/polaron hopping is observed from ac conductivity study. Thermally activated relaxation phenomena in the material confirmed from both impedance and modulus study. Variation of relaxation time with inverse of absolute temperature exhibits the both localized and non-localized hopping of charge carriers are similar type.
