The study was conducted to evaluate the combining ability and heterosis of 65 tomato genotypes for the determination of those with best in the transfer of the trait of production and total soluble solids to its crosses. The result showed that the bestproduction was recorded in the inbreds 2,3 and the reciprocal cross 7><2 amounted (14520.00,14319.00, 17067.00 ton/acre), respectively. While the higher degrees of total soluble solids recorded in the parent 1 and the crosses 1 *6, 2><5,6x7,3 x 1, 7x4 and amounted (7.50,7.00 kg/cm2) respectively. It noticed that the highest ratio of heterosis for production was estimated in the crosses 4x5, 5x4,5x8, 8x4 amounted to 79.10 %,51.04%,81.47%, 53.74% respectively, and the best general combining ability observed in the parents 2 and 3 recorded 1465.380 and 1891.234 respectively, which means that these two parents have a good combining ability with the rest of the parents to transfer the trait of increased production to its crosses. The best specific combining was in the crosses 1 x3,6x3 amounted 3636.411,13997.500 respectively. We observed that the highest ratio of heterosis for total soluble solids was in the crosses 5x6,5 x8,6x7 estimated (30.00 %, 30.00%, 27.27%) respectively. While the best- combining ability observed in tSe parents 1 and 4 amounted 0.312 and 0.281, respectively. This indicates that they have a good combining ability with other parents towards the increase of the total soluble solids trait in the fruits of their crosses. Where the bestspecific combining effect was in the crosses 1 x3, 6x7, 6x2, 6x3 amounted 0.892, 0.998,5150,4617, respectively.
