This experiment was carried out from 15th September 2018 to 15th February 2019 in the greenhouse of Department of Horticulture, College of Agricultural, Duhok University. A study included the effect wounding (wounding and without wounding) and different concentrations of IBA (0, 5000 and 10000 mg.L-1) on the rooting of two photinia plant species (Photinia glabra and Photinia serrulata) hard wood. The important results indicated the following: the wounded cuttings significantly gave the best rooting percentage (35%), shoot number, longest shoot, leaves number and dry weight of shoots, whereas non-wounded cuttings only gave the best roots number. IBA meaningfully affected on rooting ability of cuttings at both concentrations (5000 and 10000 mg.L-1) comparison with control (0 mg.L-1), highest rooting percentage (37.5 and 35.83%), shoots number, longest shoot and roots dry weight were attained from treatment of cuttings with (5000 and 10000 mg.L-1), respectively. Plant species had significantly affected on rooting of cuttings, Photinia glabra species led to improve most of studied characters, whereas only maximum roots number was attained from Photinia serrulata. Generally, wounded and treated cuttings with 5000 IBA of Photinia glabra species provided the best results of rooting percentage (56.67%), while when treated with both IBA conc. 5000 and 10000 mg.L-1 improve most roots and shoots characters, respectively.
