摘要

MODIS-NDVI data, with a 250 m resolution was used to estimate maize yield in Midwest of Jilin Province from 2001 to 2009 on the basis of light use efficiency model. Compared with the maximum light use efficiency and harvest index which were considered as a constant in previous researches, our study calibrated the two parameters according to field measurements. Comparison of satellite-based and field-based estimates indicated that the estimation accuracy can reach to 94.57% in 2009, which demonstrated that it was feasible to estimate maize yield with remote sensing data. On that basis, the paper analyzed the temporal-spatial change characteristics of maize yield. The results showed that mean air temperature had a significantly greater effect on maize yield compared to total precipitation in growing season in the study area. Spatially, the mean maize yield was increasing from west to east.
