Croatian integrated oil frm Ina has proposed shutting down the fuid catalytic cracking unit (FCC) at its 44,000 b/d Sisak refinery this year to cut losses at the plant. The frm is in talks with the workers’ council about its proposal for “organisational changes” at Sisak. These would include shutting the 468,000 t/yr FCC unit and transporting semi-finished oil products between the landlocked Sisak com- plex and Ina’s bigger refinery - the 90,000 b/d Rijeka plant - on the Adriatic coast. This would “ensure better utilisation of the conversion plant in both refineries”, Ina said.
