cS Energy’s 750mW coal-fired Kogan creek power Station, near chinchilla in South West Queensland, is back generating into the electricity grid following a $68 million overhaul. major contractors mitsubishi Hitachi power Systems, Siemens and australian Laboratory Services mobilised their workforces onsite for the 56-day, 24/7 shutdown. cS Energy chief executive officer martin moore said the peak workforce for the overhaul reached 500 people, including more than 400 contractors and the power station’s permanent workforce of 72 people.
