Despite its presence for more than half a century. servitisation has recently come to the fore as a shaping force in a range of industries, including energy. A number of factors have driven this recent renaissance in service provision and development, including globalisation, high market volatility and a rising pressure for innovation as a means of attaining and sustaining advantage in increasingly competitive markets.
