The Middle East Branch of the Energy Institute was set up in 2012 with an office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Currently, there are almost 1,100 individual members in the region with over 600 of those being in the UAE.The Branch membership also has a number of corporate and technical partners, including Saudi Aramco and Emirates National Oil Company, as well as working relationships with several learning affiliates including Heriot-Watt University, British University in Dubai and Higher Colleges of Technology. The Branch is currently being run by its Managing Director, Trevor Stott-Briggs, supported by a strong Committee and Sub-Committee team of over 20 members with Tahir Hakim as its Chairman.
