摘要

The Brundtland Commission of the United Nations defined the term "sustainable" in the year 1987 as follows: "Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs." The European Chemical Industry Council (Conseil Europeen des Federations de I'lndustrie Chimique, Cefic) has established a conceptual diagram which provides us with orientation in this project and as a company. (Figure 1). Accordingly, the expression "sustainability" does not just refer to the most ecologically correct final product, but also to societal demands and economic feasibility.
