摘要

The spout lip is a key component in the float glass forming process. The shape, size, and installation location of the spout lip significantly affects the quality of float glass products. The ANSYS Fluent 14-0 software was used to simulate the flow of molten glass in the entry end of a 600 t/d tin bath. The vertical distance between the spout lip and the exposed surface of the molten tin and the stretch distance of the spout lip into the tin bath were examined. The wetback flow rate was analyzed, and the changes in the two variables mentioned above were introduced to obtain their optimal design values. This study is important for optimizing the design of tin bath entry end and guiding the design of the installation location of the spout lip.
