With headquarters in St. Cloud, Minnesota, Central McGowan is a diversified independent distributor of industrial, medical and food and beverage gases; welding equipment and supplies; and dry ice. It is also a FANUC-authorized system integrator of custom automation and robotic solutions with systems implemented in the Midwest, on both coasts, in Texas, and internationally. Recently, the company expanded its CO_2 solution footprint with the acquisition of St. Paul, MN-based Jasons Beverage Carbonation Company(Jasons). This combination nearly doubles Central McGowan's existing CO_2 Solutions business and gives it the ability to deliver CO_2, nitrogen, beer gas, and dry ice to bars, breweries, restaurants as well as dry ice customers throughout a five-state area. gasworld spoke with Bob Crew, Vice President and General Manager of Central McGowan's CO_2 Solutions business, to learn more about how this acquisition complements one of the company's core businesses, expands its existing footprint, and improves its service capabilities.
