Price for converting 200 MW coal-fired steam plant into a 573 MW high-efficiency CC plant estimated at $442 million. Cooperative Energy (formerly known as South Mississippi Electric Power Association) is repowering its 400MW coal-fired R.D. Morrow, Sr. Generating Station to create a modern high-efficiency gas-fired combined cycle power plant. One of the plant's two existing 200MW steam turbine generators will be modernized and applied to match the design parameters of an advanced technology gas turbine generator and unfired HRSG for combined cycle operation.
