For almost 20 years I'd heard about how Laced Wyandotte Club Member Margot Haines had a Silver Laced male in a display case that was from the original strain imported into this country in the 1880s. So, when the invitation came from Club Sec Trefor Griffith to accompany him on a trip to collect 'The Old Gentleman' - as the taxidermied piece is affectionately known - one could hardly resist!
