As part of their constant drive to improve the quality of service to customers, cement manufacturers are automating truck transit and bulk loading systems to dispatch cement. Several aspects need to be addressed in order to introduce such a system. The first is automatic control of bulk loading, so the truck loads the required quantity, while not exceeding the maximum permitted vehicle weight. It is also becoming increasingly common to request loading at unusual times, such as at night or the weekend.
