摘要

A flaw detection system that incorporates both ultrasonic and eddy current methods combined with an imager for remote visual inspection of aircraft engines his reportedly been developed by Material Technologies Inc. (Matech), Los Angeles, Calif., and Optim Inc., Sturbridge, Mass. The two companies have announced a joint venture agreement to form Optimatex LLC for the purpose of designing, manufacturing, and marketing the OptiSpec system. The system is based on the Electrochemical Fatigue Sensor (EFS) and Fatigue Fuse (FF) technologies licensed by Matech from the University of Penn-sylvania.
