Plastics provide platform pointing to prosperity. Continuing expansion of demand coupled with mild inflation of raw materials prices is contributing to a prosperous 2018, as we enter the New Year. 2018 is looking like a year of 2.6% growth, up from 2.2% this year, and coupled with price inflation at 2%. That should result in a bank prime lending rate at 5%. Faster global growth will give way to a rise in process for basic metals...copper is up 40% this year and going higher. This once again sets the stage for increased market share for new plastics applications.
