We present the results of our research for obtaining protective composite coatings with nickel matrix and red phosphorus particles as disperse phase. We establish an electrolytic preparation technology utilizing vertical electrodes. The properties of our coatings were compared with pure nickel coatings at the same thickness, by structural chemical and physical analysis regarding adherence, rugosity, the porosity, corrosion and wear resistance.
