THE U.S. ARMY Corps of Engineers has begun the review process of an application submitted by Northern Dynasty Minerals for a wetlands fill permit for the propossed Pebble Mine in Bristol Bay, AK. The application is a milestone for a project that has gained new momentum following the decision by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to remove special protections that were put in place by the Obama Administration to block development of the massive gold and copper mine.
