摘要

Collaborative safety extends beyond the frontline and leadership to guide safe production across mining companies. In fact, the U.S. National Institute for Occupational Health (NIOSH) and the National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA) have been working for decades to collaborate with researchers, academics and industry partners to advance the safety of workplaces and employees. NORA was launched in 1996 as a partnership program to stimulate innovative research and improve workplace practices. Over the years, this distinguished group has aimed to profile the workplace of the future and respond to dynamic occupational factors across various job sectors. The overarching and continued goal has been to advance research to ensure a safe and healthy workplace. Beginning in 2006, NORA assumed a slight shift in focus, promoting an applied research initiative referred to as "research-to-practice."
