South Lanarkshire Council has approved an application for the change of use of agricultural land at Waterbank Farm, near East Kilbride, to aggregate recycling. Up to 100,000 tonnes a year of inert waste would be brought to the site for crushing and screening before being exported for use in the construction industry.The site comprised a yard and buildings with permission for plant hire and parking for construction vehicles as well as agricultural land and a farm shed.
