摘要

Single crystals of cobalt uranyl sulfate are grown. The crystal structure is established by X-ray diffraction: the orthorhombic system, sp. gr. Pmc2(1), a = 6.452(2) angstrom, b = 8.295(2) angstrom, c = 11.288(3) angstrom, R-1 = 0.0303, wR(2) = 0.0735 for reflections with I > 2 sigma(I). The structure Of CoUO2(SO4)(2) center dot 5H(2)O consists of infinite two-dimensional uncharged [CoUO2(SO4)(2)H2O](2 infinity) layers, which are linked to each other by hydrogen bonds.
