Still seen on construction and road work sites today, Caterpillar's D8 Bulldozer is a large track-type tractor. It has appeared over the years in many different configurations however, the version we are mostly familiar is the bulldozer complete with the large detachable blade and rear ripper blade attachment. The Caterpillar D8 can trace its origins back to the 1930s when it was first issued as the RD8 of 132 horsepower released in 1935. The vehicle was then consistently developed and updated throughout successive decades with the most recent incarnations of this classic machine being developed in the early 2000s. The D8H variant, upon which this model is based, was first introduced in 1958 and included a 235 horse power engine.
