With The Blend leading the charge in 2018, the Mushroom Council continued to build on its success in promotion and research of fresh mushrooms.Among this year's highlights was Sonic restaurant's release of the Slinger, a blended burger on its menu. The limited time offer (LTO) in the spring was so successful that it was added back on their menu in the fall. Blue Apron, one of the leading home meal delivery companies, added a blended burger into its meal kits in late summer, further introducing the concept to consumers. And, the James Beard Foundation's Blended Burger Project will enter its fifth year in 2019.
