摘要

Given the difficulty of establishing the dynamic behaviour of the process in an energy recovery plant and that the composition of municipal solid wastes varies widely throughout the year,the application of traditional control systems is not adequate.For that reason,this paper analyzes the efficiency of a knowledge-based system as applied to the control of a combustion furnace in an energy recovery plant processing 2000 kg/h of municipal solid wastes.Depending on the quality(humidity and net calorific value)and quantity of municipal solid wastes processed,as well as the air flow rate used in combustion,the expert system evaluates the condition of the furnace and carries out the appropriate control order.The results of this procedure have demonstrated the validity of the proposed control system.
