In early December, Turkish steelmakers have returned to the scrap market to restock on import material. While in the end of November the mills were purchasing scrap mostly from Azov-Black Sea basin, now they also need to attract large batches from the main US and European suppliers, as steelmakers' December production requirements have not yet been fully met in spite of large number of deals last month. Besides, considering that late December will bring many holidays, the producers will have to hurry up to sufficiently restock before the New Year.
