The Spanish ferrous scrap segment is still seeing lively buying activity in early December. The only market more active in the European region is the Turkish one. While in early and mid November the course of events in Spain was mostly indirectly influenced by Turkish steelmakers and imports were regarded as desperate measures, by early December local mills have adopted their own strategy, setting the prices at competitive levels.
