Proponents of three new LNG export terminals at the Port of Brownsville are bracing for a Texas-sized fight with a coalition of green groups,shrimpers and fishermen seeking to stop the projects in their tracks.And a Native American tribe fears one of the terminals will disturb sacred territory.Similar LNG projects now operating at Corpus Christi,Texas,and at Sabine Pass in Louisiana were met with minimal opposition,indicating that resistance to the Port of Browns-ville facilities is being driven by issues specific to that region’s ecology and historical significance.
