Emergency response officials in Chester County said originally that on Sunday,a broken waterdrainage system associated with Mariner East 1 caused the sinkhole to form,adding that the company shut off the line.The officials later said they could not comment on the possible cause of the sinkhole,saying it was an ongoing investigation.The line is owned and operated by Sunoco.The officials said no injuries were reported and nearby homes were not evacuated.This incident has occurred less than a year after the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission ordered pipeline operations to halt when sinkholes were found in the same neighborhood of single-family homes.The pipeline resumed operation in May.
