A storage injection of around 68 Bcf -- that would again be shy of the five-year average -- is expected when the Energy Information Administration reports data Thursday for the week ended Sep. 7, according to a Reuters survey.
Above-normal temperatures resulted in 84 cooling degree days last week, compared with the 30-year normal of 67 CDDs for the period, Reuters data showed. Models range from 60 Bcf to 76 Bcf. That compares with the five-year average of 74 Bcf and an 87 Bcf injection last year.
