摘要

Royal Canadian Mounted Police(RCMP) units are still in control of two roadblocks that had been set up in a remote section of British Columbia to block Coastal GasLink from accessing its pipeline right of way.Members of the Gidimt’en clan of the Wet’suwet’en First Nation had set up a camp and a checkpoint southwest of Houston, blocking a forest service road and Coastal GasLink from accessing its pipeline right-of-way in its territory. An second roadblock and checkpoint had been erected earlier.Enforcing an injunction by the BC Supreme Court,RCMP officers moved in late Monday and took control of two roadblocks and made 14 arrests.BC Forests and Natural Resource Minister Doug Donaldson visited the roadblock over the weekend, before the RCMP made the arrests and opened up the roadblocks.
