Stocks of Indian tyre companies posted negative growth for the period of April 15,2019,to June 10,2019,thanks to falling profits,drop in automotive vehicles sales,and overall trends on the bourses.Following trends in the global markets,Indian equity markets also witnessed high volatility in April.Lowering its outlook for the Indian economic growth,the International Monetary Fund(IMF) forecast a marginal fall to 7.3% for the current fiscal from 7.4% estimated earlier.In April,Goods and Services Tax(GST) collections swelled to Rs.1,130 billion from Rs.1,060 billion in March this year.Foreign Portfolio Investors(FPIs) bought stocks worth Rs 172.91 billion in April as compared to Rs.459.81 billion in March.At the end of April,the BSE Sensex reported an increase of mere 1%.
