In accordance with 1-1-3/3, the classification A1 Bulk Carrier or A1 Ore Carrier is to be assigned to vessels designed for the carriage of bulk cargoes, or ore cargoes, and built to the requirements of this section and other relevant sections of the Rules. Where the vessel has been specially reinforced for the carriage of heavy-density cargoes, special loading arrangements, or both, it will be distinguished in the Record with a notation describing the special arrangements. Full particulars of the loading conditions and the maximum density of the cargoes to be provided for are to be given on the basic design drawings.
