COLLECTING ORCHID STAMPS is fascinating. Nearly every country releases beautiful orchid stamps and anyone can pursue this terrific hobby. The Orchidaceae is a diverse and widespread family of flowering plants with blooms that are often colorful, which make them perfect subjects for stamps, and fragrant. Along with the Asteraceae, they are one of the two largest families of flowering plants. The Orchidaceae has about 28,000 currently accepted species distributed in around 763 genera.
