摘要

This attractive species differs from all other members of the genus by its reflexed leaflets.This unusual species of the Papuasian and Moluccan genus Calyptrocalyx was first introduced into cultivation in Australia, saidto be from north-western Papua New Guinea. JM acquired second generation seed from Australia. In Floribunda Palms Hawaii, theseedlings flourished, and it became immediately obvious that, in leaf form, the palm is unlike any other member of the genus with its distinctive, conspicuously reflexed leaflets. In Australia it was known as the reflexed-leaved Calyptrocalyx.
