Climate Change Capital(CCC)is a merchant banking group which specialises in financial advisory work related to climate change,including carbon trading.This article offers a timely reminder to companies that now is the time to start thinking about decisions related to the EU's emissions trading scheme(ETS).Some companies,power generators excluded,may choose to opt out of the EU scheme and instead of participating in phase 1,comply with climate change agreements.
