A field study on the bio-efficacy of new insecticide molecules against banana skipper, Erionota torus infesting banana Cv Ney Poovan, commonly known as Puttabale (AB group), revealed that the maximum reduction in skipper population was observed after 3rd , 10th and 20th and 30th days of each spray with different biorational insecticides during pre flowering (6 month old crop) and flowering period (7 month old crop). The insecticides reduced the larval population as compared to untreated control. Chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC @ 275 mL ha~(-1) was most effective by recording highest bunch yield (155.37 q ha~(-1)) which was 85.25 per cent increase over control, and was statistically at par with cyantraniliproie 10. 26 OD@ 275 mL ha~(-1) (145.75 q ha~(-1)) and spinosad 45 SC @ 275 mL ha~(-1) (134.75 q ha~(-1)). Chlorantraniliprole @ 275 mL ha~(-1) recorded highest B: C ratio of 2.40 compared to rest of the treatments whereas untreated check recorded the lowest B: C ratio of 1.37.
