The All India Plastics Manufacturers'Association (AIPAAA), stressed on the importance of waste management, rationalization of import duties on plastic raw materials and need to establish viable plastic parks to encourage processing of plastics. The government and the Plastics Industry will work together to address various issues and Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals (DCPC), Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, is open to suggestions by this sector as per Secretary, Mr. P. Raghavendra Rao, Secretary in the Ministry. Addressing an interactive plastics industry session organised by The All India Plastics Manufacturers' Association (AIPMA) here on Thursday, Mr. Rao said the Maharashtra State Government is aware of various problems faced by the industry and confirmed that a task-force formed is looking at sustainable solutions.
