Robert O. Blake, for many years an ambassador of the United States of America to several African countries, now chairs the Committee on Agricultural Sustain ability for Developing Countries, in the USA. This committee comprises mostly American and some international NGOs, and lobbies for support of sustainable agriculture activities. Robert Blake meets regularly with Congress to promote the cause of international agricultural research. He was recently in Nairobi to visit ICRAF, where he took time toshare some of his views on international agricultural research with the editor.
