In adolescents with troublesome allergic rhinitis due to house dust mites despite symptomatic treatment, desensitisation with sub-lingual standardised house dust mite allergen extract has not been compared with any other desensitisation methods. All desensitisation methods carry a risk of potentially serious allergic reactions. ACARIZAX0 - standardised house dust mite allergen extract oral lyophilisate, 12 SQ-HDM of standardised allergen extract from house dust mites (Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus and Dermato-phagoides farinae) per lyophilisate. SQ-HDM is a standardised unit of dose strength developed by the pharmaceutical company that markets the product, based in particular on the quantity of house dust mite (HDM) allergens.
