The New Zealand Environmental Risk Management Authority(ERMA)proposes that registrations of the organophosphate insecticide,parathion-methyl,be revoked.The preliminary recommendation is based on its lack of use in New Zealand and the environmental and occupational risks demonstrated overseas,the ERMA points out.It is seeking public submissions on its proposed decision by November 3rd.
