A new pesticide policy for Thailand is expected to be incorporated into the government's 9th National Economic and Social Development Plan for 2002-06. The draft "Policy & Master Plan of Agricultural Pesticides," which aims to cut pesticide use in order to reduce the risks to users, consumers and the environment, is currently awaiting final approval by the Thai Cabinet.
