Farmers in Germany are increasingly concerned about the commercial growing of genetically modified crops, says Gerd Sonnleitner, the president of the German farmers' union, the DBV. The farmers are in a difficult position faced with polarised poinions from politicians, consumers and the biotechnology industry over the technology.
