Chinese company Nantong Jiangshan Agrochemical and Chemical bounced back in 2011, recording a 46.5% jump in agrochemical revenues to Yuan 1,491,8 million ($235.9 million at the current rate). Low prices for the company's main product, the herbicide, glyphosate, dragged Nantong Jiangshan's revenues down some 30.4% in 2010 (Agrow No 613, p 3). Agrochemical sales made up 57.4% of the company's total sales of Yuan 2,601 million ($411.3 million) in 2011. Net profit fell dramatically, plunging 83.6% to Yuan 5.1 million ($806,463).
