Sales of pesticides for use on turf and ornamentals in the US rose by 3.1% to $702.1 million at the manufacturer level in 2011. The slight upturn follows four years of declining sales, notes US market research company, Specialty Products Consultants (SPC - Mendham, New Jersey). Generic products represented 16.6% of sales in 2011 compared with 16.3% in the previous year.
